Mary Beth McCollum has been involved with the truck industry since she was 21 years old and started at the College of Southern Maryland as an Adjunct CDL instructor in 1992. She was an MVA Examiner for 7 years and holds a Class A CDL license with all endorsements as well as her motorcycle license. Mary Beth is an exceptional problem solver and always puts the programs first no matter what obstacle might be in the way. She is actively involved in the industry, including being a Secretary and Board Member of NAPFTDS (National Association of Publicly Funded Truck Driving Schools), Secretary of MPDEA (Maryland Professional Driver Education Association), and a Board of Directors Member and former Secretary for PTDI (Professional Truck Driving Institute). Mary Beth is also a member of Women in Trucking, Truckers Against Trafficking, and the Maryland Truck Association, in addition to being a certified Driver Education Instructor and CPP Certified Program Provider.— Mary Beth McCollum, Lead Director, Center for Transportation Training
