    Melissa Coker is the Business Solutions Specialist for the WorkForce Center at the College of Southern Maryland.  She seeks to understand the goals and objectives of an organization and works to design solutions based on the specific needs of the business.  Melissa earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and is a Certified Contract Trainer. She serves as the secretary for MD WorkSmart Advisory Group and is actively involved with the Chamber of Commerce and local business community.  Melissa has 18+ years of experience in needs assessments, marketing and sales.

    Brit Akas is the Business Developer for the WorkForce Center at the College of Southern Maryland. He is the point of contact for contract training solutions for all business needs. Brit’s job is to partner with your business, and do a complimentary consultation assessment based needs of your business. Brit has over 10+ years work experience in sales, analytics, and marketing; he has received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and economics and is currently pursuing his MBA with a focus in marketing.
